Day 1: Antananarivo
Meet and greet at the hotel or at the airport. Your trip to Madagascar starts in Tana. The participants get to know each other and the organization. Handling of cars, delivery of equipment for bivouacs, tools and reserves. Checks and tests of the radio of the organization, loading of the course on the GPS of the customers who wish it.Small discovery of the capital, visit of the palace of the Queen according to schedule to arrive. Day 2: Antananarivo – ampefy – Tsironomandidy – The Melaky
Breakfast at the hotel, the organization provided the picnics, departure at 8am, exit Tanà and road to the west. Asphalt road in good condition, possibility to visit on the way “La chutes de la Lily”, or hot springs near Ampefy and Tsiromandidy is filled with diesel and we attack the lateritic track through the middle west until at the bivouac 1. Day 3: Melaky
Breakfast at the bivouac and continuation of the trail to camp 2, picnic by the way. Cross typical landscapes of the Middle West Malagasy.
This part of the big island is isolated from the world. The track is quite technical, dusty and stony. A spectacle of deserted mountains adorned by the phenomenon of “lavaka” due to soil erosion.

Day 4: Melaky
Breakfast at the bivouac and continuation of the track west to Maintirano. Free lunch. Continuation of our adventure. Passage on a river with the possibility of bathing then we take again the track to the point of bivouac 3.

Day 5: Melaky – bekopaka
Breakfast at the bivouac and continuation of the track to Bekopaka, we will cross the plateau of Bemaraha and arrive by the back of tsingy. Picnic on the way. Arrived at the hotel “Orchidées du Bemaraha”, swimming pool, meal and night in a real bed! Those who want to walk in the Tsingy or go for a walk in the gorges of Mananbola the next day will order their picnic at the hotel
Day 6: Bekopaka
Departure for the big Tsingy.
Declared by UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1990, Bemaraha became National Park in August 1997 to develop its Eco tourism potential. The Tsingy are a very dense network of faults, crevices, limestone blocks carved blade or sharp needles. In the bottom, they have a complex hydrology with underground cavities that would have been used as shelter to the “vazimba”, first occupants of the island. The fauna is very rich with 13 species of lemurs, mammals like Fosa, land and water birds, amphibians, reptiles. For the flora, 85% of the species are endemic. A wide variety of circuits, of different levels of difficulty, allows an “à la carte” visit of this exceptional site. At Bemaraha Discovery is written with a big “D”. We will do it together!

Day 7: Bekopaka – Morondava
It is unconceivable to finish this first part of the circuit without having a close look at the unusual baobabs that make the Morondava region famous. Coming from Belo sur Tsiribihina, which will have served us a little bit as a hub, we will greet the Sacred Baobab (make your wishes!), The “Baobab Amoureux” more and more reproduced on the markets by the basket makers, and the ” l’Allée des Baobabs ” (Alley of Baobabs) that we come to admire the whole world. Day 8: Morondava – Belo sur Mer
Departure for Belo sur mer.
Belo Sur Mer, a Vezo fishing village in the west of Madagascar, ideal to immerse yourself in the lifestyle of the inhabitants of the region. The ecolodge Le Dauphin has been built in total respect with its natural environment. The owners have a real ecological approach: the waste is burned or recycled, the bread and yogurts are made in the lodge, the cooking is made to the maximum with local products … The 6 bungalows of the lodge are integrated in the heart of a very nice flower garden, and face the sea. Built in natural materials, they are all equipped with a private bathroom, a mosquito net and a terrace. Meals are served facing the sea. The cuisine offered is a simple and varied local cuisine based primarily on seafood. From the lodge you will have plenty of time to observe the return of the fishermen on their sailing canoe, or to discover the work of craftsmen making the famous dhows, typical of the island.
Diving and fishing trips are organized by the ecolodge. Fauna and flora abound in these places facing the coral islands. There are many groupers, reef sharks, jacks, turtles … Several types of fishing can be practiced, the troll, the handline … It is also possible to perform sea kayak trips.
Day 9: Belo sur Mer – Manja
Free morning in Belo-sur-Mer to enjoy a little more of its lovely bay. Then you take the road back to Sakalava lands. The arid landscapes of the West are scattered in dry forests. Arrival in the middle of the afternoon, installation in a bush lodge. Manja means “blackish or pretty” and was in the nineteenth century the capital of a small kingdom. The women of this region are distinguished by a particular hairstyle called “Dokodoko”.

Day 10: Manja – Bevoay – Andavadaoka
Departure very early in the morning. After a long crossing of laterite track, drawn in the middle of a beautiful baobab savannah, you arrive on the edge of the Mangoky river and then cross it in ferry. Continue to Morombe by an old road. Arrival in the middle of the afternoon. From there, Andavadoaka is only one hour of track crossing on both sides bush and mangrove. Arrival on site at the end of the afternoon.
Day 11: Andavadaoka – Ifaty
Breakfast at the hotel, free lunch. We continue along the lagoon of the west coast, the whole palette of greens and blues. Several hotels on the way for those who would not have chosen to have a picnic at the hotel. Arrival at Ifaty Nautilus with its beautiful pool.
Day 12: Ifaty – Ambola
Breakfast at the hotel, free lunch. A short hour of sandy track to Tulear. Bank, pharmacy and other stores to stock up. Then we finally found some good bitumen, but watch out for 60 Kms! Then again, we go to Betioky, we refuel, we will find more diesel before Ambovombe, then Ambola direction, dinner at the hotel.
Day 13: Ambola
Breakfast at the hotel, free lunch, free day: your choice, visit the Tsimananpesoa reserve with its baobabs, its flamingos if not immersed in the lagoon, or whale exit
Day 14: Ambola – Itampolo
Breakfast at the hotel, free lunch, only 3 hours of sandy track before arriving at the bivouac. No pool but a beautiful lagoon and lobsters. Dinner and night on camping
Day 15: Itampolo – Lavanono
Breakfast at the camp, take the picnic provided and head to Lavanono One of the longest days, sand, rocks, and a long ford, all trying to avoid the turtles on the trail. But on arrival we are greeted by a Basque surfer on the most beautiful surf spot in Madagascar. Last sunset on the Mozambique Channel. Dinner and night at the hotel
Day 16: Lavanono – Fort Dauphin
Breakfast at the hotel, free lunch either in Faux cape or in Ambovombé arrived the evening at the Nahampoana reserve where we are greeted by herds of lemurs. Dinner and night at the hotel
Day 17: Fort Dauphin – Lokaro
Breakfast at the hotel, free lunch, either in town at Fort Dauphin, or at the reserve or at the bivouacs in Lokaro, which is only 2 hours of tracks. In the evening bivouacs in this magical place where melt fresh water, sea water and or dinner consists of oysters, lobsters and fish bought and prepared on site by the team. Day 18: Lokaro – Sandravinany
Breakfast at the bivouac with a show worthy of Marine Land and continuation of the track, with a picnic prepared by the team and 10 bins to take, to arrive at our last bivouac at the edge of the Indian Ocean.
Day 19: Sandravinany – Farafangana
Breakfast and we take the road again, a few bins, free meal in Vangaidrano then bitumen in very good condition to the hotel Cocobeach Farafangana.
Day 20: Farafangana – Ranomafana
Breakfast at the hotel, recovery of the road in degraded bitumen we joined Manakara for a free lunch and we leave the East Coast to go up on the plateaux, and Ranomafana to reach the Centrest Hotel.
For those who arrived early, possibility to go out at night in the reserve and discover the smallest lemurs of Madagascar and other nocturnal fauna.

Day 21: Ranomafana – Ambositra – Antsirabe
Breakfast at the hotel, visit of the reserve in daytime for those who, wish, take the road in bitumen, then last kilometers of track before joining the RN7, free lunch Ambositra or we will take advantage of it to make the purchases of craft, then arrives in the city of Termes in Antsirabe at the hotel des Voyageurs for a free dinner and evening in town.
Day 22: Antsirabe – Antananarivo
Breakfast at the hotel we have 3 hours of road to reach the capital, eventually make the last craft purchases on the road dam, make cars and equipment and exchange addresses. Lunch and free dinner. Day Use at the hotel and transfer to the airport for your return flight.
